At Balancing Act, we want to know how your home office functions best for you. Love color-coded files? Prefer easy-to-manage stacks? Rather than forcing everyone to use a one-size-fits-all filing cabinet, we design a home office organization system that fits your personality and lifestyle. Then we provide you with tools and follow-up tips so you can use the system effectively year after year. Our goal is to create a home office that welcomes you with a clean desk, easy-to-find papers, and important information like passwords and calendar dates at your fingertips.

An organized home is a happy home. Balancing Act offers two options to help you achieve this goal: let us organize for you, or let us assess your needs and arm you with the know-how to do the work yourself.

In option one, we will go room-to-room, discussing your home organization challenges and evaluating the best use of your spaces. We will organize and de-clutter while we teach you the time management and family management tools to maintain those spaces. We will work one-on-one with you at an hourly rate.

In option two, we perform the same audit of your organizational needs as in option one. Then, for a fixed fee, we will write a concise plan that includes an analysis of your space challenges, steps to solve those challenges, and a calendar that breaks your “Get Organized” plan into manageable bits so you don’t feel overwhelmed. We will return to you to present the plan and answer any questions.

Once your home is set up in a way that makes sense to you and your family, those once-onerous chores of tidying and de-cluttering will be effortless, freeing up time and energy to pursue your true goals.

KIDS AREA
The mountain of stuff our kids have these days can overwhelm the best of us. Balancing Act can help you get that stuff under control. A studying teenager is going to have different needs than a toddling Thomas-the-Tank-Engine devotee, and we can configure your kids’ spaces, no matter the age, to create optimal zones for homework, playing, relaxing and sleeping. Once the work is done, we supply you with developmentally appropriate ways to get your kids involved in the upkeep of their new spaces. Bedrooms, basements, homework stations, craft areas and toy rooms are just some of the areas we help you optimize.
